.. ■•■ SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast is as follows: Gloomy skies and misty and showery weather has prevailed in most parts of the country. ■Rain has been heavy on the east coast of both islands, with rivers flooded. Moderate to strong easterly winds have prevailed. Present indications are for a further fall in barometric pressure everywhere, with cloudy and unsettled weather generally. Rain is probable in most parts, and floods in rivers draining mountainous districts from the melting of snow. Strong northerly and easterly winds will probably prevail.
