SIR WILFRID LAURIER.
A PATRIOTIC UTTERANCE. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Received July 12, 10.10 p.m. Ottawa, July 12. Sir Wilfrid Laurier, at Fort William, stated that there would be no general election in 1910. Canada was determined to assist the Motherland against every foe. He announced the early deepening' of the Welland canal and the ultimate construction of the Georgia Bay canal. Eulogising the late King Edward, he added: "I speak with knowledge and authority in saying that King George is a worthy son of his sire."
