The Farmers and Settlers' Association Conference decided to organise politically to form a new country party.' Mr. Wade, addressing the conference, warned them of the dangers of creating a third party.. The Government recognised the necessity of maintaining the policy of development at high pressure. They would hear in a few days of a loan for the duplication of the main trunk lines.
