MR DINNIE'S APPOINTMENT.
THE MINISTERIAL EXPLANATION,
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Replying to adverse omments on the appointment of Ins ctor Dinnie as President of the Nr...ve Land Board, the Native .Minister says that Mr. Dinnie enters upon his duties with a fair and open mind, without any unconscious bias which sometimes arose from long familiarity with native land transactions and a close contact with the several interests involved on one side or the other. The Premier states that the chief qualifications required are a knowledge of the law, integrity, and honesty, and these qualities, he says, are possessed by Mr. Dinnie.
