The mysterious Chinese vessel which [ was first stated to have been a Japanese man-of-war taking soundings and then | a boat shipping cattle is now supposed to have been a schooner fishing for beche-de-mer. ARBITRATION. Svdney, July 11. ' | The Hish Court delivered judgment i'in the case in which a boot manufacturer applied for a writ of prohibition restraining the Federal Arbitration Court and the Employees' Federation from further proceeding upon a recent award. The Court enlarged the order nisi to the next sitting of the Court in Melbourne, when the matter will be reheard.

AFTER MANY. DAYS. Sydney, July 11. A discharged revolver has been found near where the body of John Oyer was discovered a year ago. and it is now thiught that he shot himself.
