A Departmental Committee set up at the instigation of Mr. Simmon, Labor member for Walthamstow, recommends the abolition of street trading bv boys up to the age of seventeen and girls up to eighteen. The report adds that street trading by girls is entirely indefensible, as no system of regulation can rid it of risks and objections.
