The Aborigines Protection Society, in a further letter to Sir Edward Grey, dedescribes the alleged murders on the Amazon, and encloses a letter from the explorer, E. Nordenskjold, detailing the enslavement of Indians. The letter refers to districts in Bolivia, which were flourishing under Jesuits, but are now depopulated. Men are earning a livelihood by enclosing villages, killing the .adults <«nd gelling the children to the rubber plantations for 400 pesos apiece.
