THE PARITUTU.

♦ The Paritutu was brought alongside the breakwater yesterday, and was berthed at as soon as iihe Corinna left.

Captain MeMahon and the crew of the Tommy King went aboard in the morning, and were busy all day getting things in readiness for operations, which will commence in the' course of a day or two.

Chief Engineer J. Knowles and Second Engineer W. Hughes are staying till the conclusion of the trial operations. Most of the men were paid off by the Collector of Customs yesterday, and propose returning to England immediately.
