THE BOTTLE OF WHISKY.
To the Editor. Sir,— (Apparently "Vigilant's" letter anentthe bottle of whisky episode referred to in the recently-published accountof Mr .Jennings' reminiscences of many years ago, is to be accepted that whisky or any other alcoholic beverage is not of a stimulating nature or in a.ny way beneficial to humanity from a medicinal standpoint. Such inference is not supported by some of the most eminent men of recent years and for the benefit of "Vkrilant" and less vigilant observers I would ask you, Sir, to publish the enclosed extract from the Nineteenth Century Review, March, 1910, which to any —-d mind speaks f °r etc., (Enclosure).
