SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' weather summary ,and forecast: —The weather has been, very changeable everywhere, though fine in parts and especially on the east coast of the North Island. Heavy rain fell in the far north on Wednesday night, and showery ■weather has prevailed on the west coast ,\ wid southern parts of the South Island. Westerly winds have prevailed, strong . and squally in bftth the. extreme north and south, but generally moderate elsewhere. IPresent indications are for a change to southerly winds, increasing strong to gale after from ten to sixteen hours, with rain and colder, weather, hail in parts, and snow on the higher levels.
