King George gave audience to Captain Scott, and presented his portrait to be carried in the Terra Nova, to 'be afterwards hung on the walls of an Antarctic hut. The King was gratified to learn that the three scientists accompanying the expendition (an a Canadian, and an Englishman) were 1851 exhibition scholars. COPYRIGHT CONFERENCE.
