BUSINESS NOTICES.

Hundreds of delighted and enthused buyers, are talking with their friend* about the Melbourne's great rebuilding sale; the values and varieties are such that they feel they must talk aibout it. This is an absolute fact, mentioned here to hint at the reason for the success of the sale. Stocks are still large, <and must be reduced. Visit the .big corner store—as visitor or buyer, you arts welcome.— Advt. Men are again reminded by an advertisement in this issue that the "H.B. Tailor-cut" is the ideal suit. The firm can justly claim premier place for their excellent suits, the sale of which runs into majiy thousands annually, which fact alone testifies to their high standard of quality. , Among the many attractions at White's sale, the very particular value being shown in knitted and woven underwear is 'by no means the least. Whether it be woven nightdresses or children's vests, camisoles or divided skirts, all have equally participated in the drastic reductions made. Not only are the prices low, but the goods being handled at White and Sons' may be said to be Taranaki's best value—always. See the wool vest# at Is lid, long or short sleeves.—Advt. When cleaning the house, The windows, and the floors, The Brick-Auld is the thing to use ' For walls and over the doors.—Advt. THE POULTRY SHOW. The entrance fee for the home indus- ' tries in connection with the Poultry Society's show to foe held on the 20th and 21st of July is only sixpence, for each class in which a bag of flour is provided as a prize. It is hoped that the ladies of New Plymouth will enter largely for this class, and so do their best to make the show a success. The photography classes, the entrance for which if sixpence (not a shilling, as was advertised), should produce a large entry. There is a large number of amateurs nt and around town who take up this interesting subject as a hobby, and we hope the young men will respond to the co mittee's efforts to make a good show photography.
