AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The Auckland provincial amateur boxin» championships were brought to a conclusion this evening. The events created great interest, His Majesty's Theatre being packed each evening. Last night ten preliminary bouts were fought, and to-night the semi-finals and finals were decided. A record entry was received. The results are as follows: Bantam, T. O'Brien; feather-weight, Jfl. O'Meraj light-weight, L. Ross; welter, G. Seagar; middle-weight, E. Patrick; heavy-weight, a draw between C. Savory (14st) and A. Pooley (list 101b).
OTAGO CHAMPIONSHIPS. Dunedin, Last Night. The final bouts in connection with the Otago Boxing Association championsnip took place to-night before a very large audience. Results: — Feather-weights —M. Leckie (Dunedin) beat M. Baldwin (Southland); A. Lang (Dunedin) 'beat M. Leckie and won tile championship. Middle-weights—G. Matthewson (Dunedin) beat "G. H. Davis (Dunedin); Matthewson beat A. C. Cooper (Dunedin) and won the championship. Heavv-weights. —P. Ruston (Dunedin) beat F.'Maloney (Dunedin) and won the championship. BantaTn-weiglits. —J. Leckie (Dunedin) beat C. Armstrong (Dunedin) and won the championship. Light-weights.—A. Farquharson' (Dunedin) beat H. Winter (Dunedin); M. Leckie (Dunedin) beat Farquharson and won the championship.
