MANAWATU v. TARANAKI. The following team has been selected by the selectors of the Manawatu Rugby Union to play against Taranaki, at riawera on July 14:—Hughes, Briscoe, Coldstream, Webb, Ramsden, Waldegrave, Ongley, Carroll (2), Mullans, Hnrdie, McNae, Trevena, Grey, Muuro; emergency, Cootes. The team will also play at Wan«anui on July 10. The following will represent Star 111. to play against Clifton 111. on Sports (hound at 1.30: —Kurangi, Holmes( capbam), White, Skipper, Gleeson, Bowie, Mack, Kendall, McGahey, Fox, Rundell, Jury, Leary, Joll, Haskell; emergency, James, Gonn, Stockman. ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL. The following have been chosen by Mr. S. Clark (selector) to represent North Taranaki in the trial match against South Taranaki, to be played at Stratford at 3.15 p.m. to-morrow:— The team to represent Taranaki against Wellington in the match for the Brown Shield, to be played on Saturday, July 16, will be picked from this match. Goal, Carncross (Eltham); full-backs, Hazeltine. (Eltham) and Bullock (New Plymouth); half-backs, Syme (Stratford), Elliott (New Plymouth), Butcliard (Stratford); ' forwards, Chapman, Scholeneld and Sparrow (Stratford), parncross (Eltham) and Gwillim (New Plymouth); emergency, Pope and Bodle (Stratford).
