At the Sheep sales the, grand champion ram Sylvander fetched 450 guineas, being purchased for South Africa, while a special stud ram, .purchased for the Orange River Government, brought 410 guineas, both being from ihe Gibson Eskvale flock, Tasmania, and of British On account of the Moeraki estate, 81 Lincoln rams averaged £3 Is 3d;. 20 ewes averaged £4.35. ■ On account of Mr. Douthwaite, Walmate, 14 Lincoln ram hoggets averaged 'iy 4 guineas; five ewe hoggets averaged 4% guineas. On account of Mr. Hay, of Pigeon Bay, seven Dorset horn rams averaged 1 guinea, and eleven Dorset ewes averaged '2 guineas..
