High jties have been experienced in the nSthern and southernmost districts, heavy rain has fallen in many pities, especially on the eastern coasts ofWh islands. Present indications arc for ■% rising barometer in the north, •wittii strong southerly and westerly and a falling barometer in the sou th,> with freshening north-easterly •*'' winds prevailing.
