CONFLICTING REPORTS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, July 1. The Daily Mail says that the drought in Canada is becoming more serious daily in Southern Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Many farmers in Alberta are ploughing up their wheat, and the yield in some dry districts is likely to be' oaly five to eight bushels per acre. The Times, however, gives later reports, to the effect that general showers have fallen in' Manitoba, and the condition of crops promises to be excellent.
