POULTRY SOCIETY. v The Taranaki Poultry Society are extremely fortunate in having such an extensive list of special prir.es this jwar,. Never in the history of the society have the special prizes reached the total of 120, which is the number that have been allotted for the show to be held in the Drill Hall on 20th and 21st Julv. Exhibitors arc requested to note that entries will Hose with the secretary at 6 p.m. on W>-"!iesday, (Ith July, at his shop, and betv 'en 7 and 8 p.m. at Mr. Lovegrove's f>op, Devon-street East, when the secretary will be there to receive entries. The latest specials donated are from Mr. G. G. Bonlton for best bird in brown and white Leghorns, value 30s; also, from the same donor, two prizes value 10s each for the best game birds. The secretary, Mr. Hobbs, intends to visit Waitara on. Monday morning to receive entries for all classes, and ho will be at Mr. Lake's Hotel during the morning, where he will, be pleased to meet intending exhibitors.
