There was an enormous attenoai'eo at Wimbledon. Wilding, at the outsst, lost-four games. He then settled down to a hard and accurate back-court game. Gore generally held his own :it 'he net and won the third set by superior vollevins'. Wilding, however, wns cool and confident, and the result v'as never in doubt.
