CAPT. SCOTT'S EXPEDITION.
' NEW ZEALAND HELP. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christehurch, Thursday. Mr; J. J. Kinsey, who is acting as New Zealand agent for Captain Scott's expedition, states that large quantities of stores have already been donated by I New Zealanders. Snipping companies! and coal companies will give all the coal required. The Terra Nova will have an ice house on deck capable of 200 carcases of frozen mutton, and promises already made show that the quantity will be readily forthcoming, but Mr. Kinsey is anxious that donations should •be spread over as wide an area and among as many people as possible. All the meat companies have come forward with offers of canned goocjs, includhic a ton of boiled mutton, a ton of boiled beef, three-quarters of a ton of sheep's half a ton of ox tongues, and half a ton of sundries. Butter, cheese, hams and bacon have been offered in large quantities, and oats, bran and chaff for the ponies have been promised. Preserved milk, plum' puddings, biscuits and chocolate will also- be given. Mr. Kinsey says he has not had a refusal, and offers of help have come from all over the 'Dominion.
