SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' weather summary and forecast:—Rain has fallen everywhere, and been very heavy in parts. Northerly winds, strong to a gale, have prevailed to the northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and south- . erly winds elsewhere. The barometer lias fallen in the north and risen in the south. Present indications are for heavy rain in most iparts of the country, and especially over the North Island .and on the East Coast of the South Island. High westerly winds are probable northward of East Cape and Rawhia. Southeasterly elsewhere. A cyclonic movement now in the north will probably be followed by further unsettled westerly •weather in the south for about a week.
