ST. AUBYN TOWN BOARD.

A special meeting of the above Board was held on (Saturday, the following members beoing present:—Messrs G. E. Blanchard (chairman), F. Hodson, vv. J. Russell and S. Putt. The chairman reported to the Board that he and Mr. Russell had arranged with the manager of the Bank of New Zealand for an overdraft to pay current accounts. It was decided not to advertise for a clerk (but to offer the position to Mr. Fleetwood, who had acted as returning officer and done the preliminary work for the Board. In the event of his declining the offer applications will be called through the press for-the position. Mr. Evetts is to be offered the position of road foreman at £2 12s per ■week. The tender of T. and: R. Parkins for the supply of 300 yards of metal was accepted', to 'be delivered on the South road as directed by the foreman.
