The Imperial Maritime League lias forwarded to Mr. Asquith a memorial signed by 150 distinguished soldiers and sailors, including 48 admirals, vice and rear admirals, 16 generals, 90 lieutenantgenerals and major-generals, appealing to the Government to sanction a one hundred millions sterling loan to ensure the national safety.
