ENGLISH OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright | London, June 24. J. Braid won the open golf championship with a score of 299. The next ibest scores were: Alex. Herd 303 and Duncan 304. NGAMOTU CLUB. Golfers were favored with ideal weather on Saturday afternoon. Twentythree couples competed in the Mixed Foursomes Bogey Handicap match of sixteen holes. The following are the six, best scores:— Mr*. Johns and W. C. Weston, handicap 13", 3 down. Miss Fitzherbert and Arrriitage, handiI cap Iff, 3 down. Mrs. Patori and Macfcey, handicap 14, 4 down.
