GOLD W BRITISH COLUMBIA. HUNDRED YEARS' WORK AHEAD. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received June 26, 5.5 p.m. London, June 25. The Times' Toronto correspondent says that the engineers of the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway report a gold quartz reef near Stewart, in British, Columbia. It' is several miles in extent, and sometimes 2000 feet high. The mountain range contains great porphyry dykes, between which lies the reef, from thirty to one thousand feet wide. A battery of a thousand stampers could 'be worked for one hundred years.
