MYSTERIOUS MURDER.
IDENTIFICATION BY TEETH. BODY FOUND IN A DAM. ' By Gable—Press Association—Copyrighv Received June 24, 9.30 p.m. . Sydney, Last Night. An unknown man buried, twelve months ago was identified to-day by his teeth. On 26th June last the bodv was found at Prospect in a dam with a 'bullet wound, in the forehead. A diary 1 was found in his pocket without a name. Certain entries referred to a friend of the , man named Cryer, who was missing from Sis home. Writing to the New Zealand police, after much trouble specimens of Cryer's writing were obtained from his father in London. It has 'been proved that the dMcry belonged to Cryer. , A: description of the body, however, in no way tallied with that of Cryer, who left his home in the Otago district on 16th May. An . entry in the diary said ' that he would leave Wellington at 6 p.m., the assumption being that Cryer liad sailed for Sydney. * Cryer's father stated that his son had peculiarly-mended teeth. The body was exhumed, and the teeth described by the father were foutad, establishing identity.
