SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' •weather summary and forecast:—Moderate to strong westerly winds have preTailed, with a steadily rising barometer. The weather has been showery on the west coast and in the Southern districts of the South Island,' but it has ibeen generally fair . The present indications ere for a change in the weather shortly,' freshening northerly winds, increasing cloudiness, and general rains probably following within thirty-six hours. The Ijarometer will probably fall everywhere, and will be Jow in the south.
