FIRES.
A CHURCH DESTROYED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Hokitika, Thursday. A fire at Kanieri at -one o'clock "this morning destroyed the Cathqlic Church. The origin is unknown. Only the piano and a portion of the altar were saved. There was no insurance. The structure was an old one, and arrangements had been in progress for some time to build a new one.,
