ASSISTED IMMIGRANTS. By Telegraph—Press Association. | Wellington, Last Night. There are 39 assisted immigrants, 291 adults and 10 children on board the Ruftpehu, which is due here from London on July 18. With the exception of two domestics, they have all bedn nominated by friends in New Zealand. LIFE-SAVING APPLIANCES. AUCKLAND PROPERTY SALE. Auckland, Last Night. A property occupied by Messrs. A. Yates and Co., in Queen street, with a frontage of 33 feet, was sold to-day to a local syndicate for £28,500. The value, after deduction for buildings, works out at a little' over £560 per foot frontage. A KNYVETT DEPUTATION. Christchurch, Last Night. The Mayor, Mr. T. M. Wilford, informed a Knyvett deputation to-day that he could not preside at the Wellington meeting on July 4, as the Municipal Conference would be sitting on tlmt date, and he was president of the Association. PRODUCE EXPORTS. Wellington, Thursday. The principal products onteved for ex- j port during the fortnight ended loth June are estimated to be wortli £949,578, compared with £1,370,771 for the lull month of June last year.
