CONSTRUCTION OF THE GANE MILKING-MACHINE. In constructing this machine .neither care nor expense have been spared to J make it in every particular a very superior machine, a.4 it is realised that hv merit alone will' it win its way. The Teat Cwps are the most important .part of a milking-machine, ami these have been constructed in as durable and simple a manner as possible, comprising only four pieces, while their action in gripping the teats close up against the udder (imitating the natural calf) leaves very little to be desired'. The inflations •have 'been so designed as to avoid being abused >by stretching, and allowance has f also been made for the natural swelling of the rubber, a, feature with other maftes that has long been conspicuous by its absence. The ".PvJ'sator.—This is a; nwrvol in design, .being- a perfect pneumatic machine with only one plain flat valve and a, small leather piston to wear. The Claws.—These are of a much Improved design in nickel-plated brass, and are fitted with a novel "teat cup release" to facilitate the removal of the cups when the cows are finished. The Rubber Ware.—This is manufactured especially to order, as years of practical experience have determined the quality and sizes that give the 'best results. The Teat Cup Cases. —The caps and cases are made of nickel-plated brass which can be easily straightened out, should one get damaged, without impairing its efficiency. As the caps are firmly secured to the case there is no danger of them causing annoyance by hanging on to the teats or getting lost. The Vacuum Pump is a very substantial t.ype, easy to drive and to 'keep in repair, with ample capacity to do its .work well under varying conditions. Wherever possible special bronze tubes have been substituted! for | rubber, being much more durable and] easier cleaned. 'All the bronze tubes- that carry the milfe (including the main vacuum tube) are manufactured and imported specially for tftis purpose, the inside being perfectly seamless and highly polished. All the claw and teat cup nipples are so constructed as to prevent the rubber tubes from getting loose after being used a few times. There is no part of the whole machine that cannot be quickly wot at with a brush and easily cleaned. Formers are invited to secure pamphlets and all information from Mr. H. R. Jenkins, EUJiam—Advt. TRADERS. Country storekeepers with goods arriving from Home should know that we undertake the work of clearing the goods. We pass entries, accept delivery, forward goods on with out delay. It's surprising the amount of Customs work we do for country traders. And yet not surprising, either —our service is so reliable.—N.Z. Express Company, Ltd.
