FIRST DAY'S RESULTS. By Telegraph—Press Association. 'Napier, Last Night. The first day of the Napier Park Racing! Club's winter meeting to-day was favored with beautiful weather, and the attendance was large. The sum of | .■11)030 passed through the totalisator, as compared with £538!) on the first day last year. Fourteen bookmakers were on the ground, eight outside at £lO and six inside at £2O 10s. Results:— Moteo Hack Hurdles, one mile and three-quarters.—Arclight, 9.0, 1; Oxton, 11.5, 2'; Millenial, !).7, 3. Also started: Climax, Claremont, and Explosion. Won toy a bare neck: Explosion fell. Petane Hack Handicap, seven furlongs. —-: Raupare, 9.0 (carried 0.2), 1; Royal Maid, 9.4, 2; Amato, 11.4, 3. Also started: Teotane, Dreadless, Rangikura, Bercola, Pumoana, Goldemar, and Boyne Water. Won by a good head. Time, limn 3C 3-ssec.
