TARANAKI LAND BOARD.

The Land Board met yesterday, present: Messrs. F. Simpson (Commissioner of Crown Lands), J. Heslop, J. Rattenbury, J. McCluggage and W. L. Kennedy. The Commissioner welcomed Mr. Kennedy, the newly-elected member, to the Board's table, and other members jowied in their expressions of welcome, which were suitably acknowledged. The Under-Secretary for Lands notified the re-appointment of Mr. J. Rattenbury. LAND APPLIED FOR. The following applications for land, received since last meeting, were approved:—Sec. 3, blk. C, Aria, 3 acres 3 roods 31 perches, K. A. Johansen, renewable lease; sees. 66, 67, 69, blk. 4, Paritutu, 23 acres (Spotswood settlement), Mr. M. Williamson, renewable lease. TRANSFERS.
