Immense crowds witnessed the picturesque and stirring army pageant opened by Lord Roberts; also the naval and military tournament at Olyrupia, where the spectacular feature is "Britannia's Muster." Trumpets summon Britain' troops, consisting of twenty-six historic regiments. Another fanfaTe brings South Africans, Australians, New Zealanders, Canadians and Indian Cavalry, who salute Britnnia and form a square, showing that the Empire is held inviolate. A car with a goldminer, supported by a kangaroo, headed the Australian contingent, and the New Zealand contingent followed under its own flag. The bluejackets held the most important role.
