The Johnson-Jeffries fight will take place on the goldfield, Nevada, a local magnate guaranteeing 120,000 dollars. Governor Gillette has ordered two companies of militia to be under arms in readiness to stop the KaufmannLangford fight, the promoter of which declares he will hold the fight in defiance of the troops. LATER. San Francisco, June 18. The Kaufmann-Langford fight is postponed until next Saturday. The Governor rescinded the call for troops, the police having promised to stop the fight. The Westport Boxing Association concluded its third tournament on Saturday night, the results being as follows: Novice Division: C. Coster (Westport). Bantam: R. Lynch (Westport). Feather-weight: Quilligan (Westport). Lightweight: Bowers (Denniston). Welter-weight: G. Booker (Westport). Heavy-weight: H. Wallace (Millerton). A six-round bout between C. Dhite (Westport), 9 st., and F. Kerr (Picton), Bst 91b., was won by Kerr, who knocked White out in the fifth round, after a strenuous contest. The professional match, Tim Tracey (New Zealand), light-weight champion, versus Barney Mullins, of Sydney, was a fiasco. Mullins, after a feeble display, was knocked out in the second round.
