SCOW ECHO FOR NEW PLYMOUTH. The Karamea Shipping Company's auxiliary scow Echo left Greymouth on Saturday morning for New Plymouth. She will bring about 4000 sleepers for the Railway Department. THE ROSAMOND. The Rosamond, which has been barbound at Onehunga, crossed the bar at 2 p.m. yesterday and should arrive here early this morning. She leaves for Wellington later. THE NEW DREDGE. According to the latest advice received from the captain of the Harbor Board's new dredge Paritutu, the vessel should arrive in Wellington to-morrow. Probably the heavy weather being experienced will have the effect of delaying her somewhat. THE TAKAPUNA. The Takapuna, which has been out of commission at Wellington for some time past, is to go on the patent slip to-day for a complete overhaul. In about a fortnight the Takapuna will be recommissioned, and ,it is understood, will relieve the Rarawa in the Onehunga-New Plymouth service about the end of the | present month, while the latter vessel j goes round to Auckland for survey and : overhaul. The Takapuna will subsequently relieve the Pateena in the Wel-lington-Picton-Nelson running, as it is likely that the Pateena will be replaced temporarily in the Wellington-Lyttelton service, as the turbine steamer Maori will go to Port Chalmers for an over-; haul. .

ROTOITI IN AUSTRALIA.
