HIGH COMMISSIONER'S KEPUUT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Monday. "The following is the High Commissioner's report, dated London, June 11: The mutton market is firm, with less demand. Canterbury is quoted at 3%<t to 4'/ s d; North Island 3%d to 3%d. The lamb market remains firm. The weather lately has Ibeen unfavorable for the sale of beef. Xew Zealand hinds sd, fore,. 4d. The butter market is steady and prices well -maintained. There is a general aAd active demand for best quality. Choicest New Zealand to-day is I'ODs, Australia 103s, Danish Idss, Siberian 102s. The cheese market is steady but the demand is only moderate, especially for colored, Quotation*; Colored 555, white 57*. The liinii]) market is dull, and there is very little .business doing. New Zealand good fair on spot£24 10s, New Zealand fair £23, fair current Manila £22 l<os. Forward shipments New Zealand good fair £24 10s, fair £22 10s, fair current Manila£22. The output from Man-! ila for the week was 2500 bales. The stook of New Zealand hemp is 250 tons. The kauri gum market is rather quiet. Ordinary fair three-quarter scraped 160s, fair half-scraped 100s, brown fair 'half to three-quarter scraped 87s 6d, brown pickings, common to good 455, •bush, fair good pale and amber acmpeo. 160s. Stock 32.1 tons. Mr. Newton King has received the' following cab'e from Sydney re ''Heavies easier." The Xew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date 10th instant: "Frozen Meat—MarkPt quieter. Frozen MuttonMarket steady. Frozen Lamb—Market has declined."
