POWER FROM NIAGARA
BIG SCHEME OF DISTRIBUTION. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received June 13, 11.10 p.m. Ottawa, June 13. A municipal system has been organised by the Ontario Government for distributing electrical energy generated at Niagara Falls. The delivery of power to Toronto will be possible in October, and to London and St. Thomas (a hundred miles west of the Falls) at the end of 1910. It is expected the power will enable Providence to be linked to New York by an electric tramway.
