The German and Austrian papers accuse Britain of championing Crete with the object of acquiring Suda Bay. The Berlin Post vehemently demands that Europe should prevent England from turning Arabia into a British satrapy. [A satrapy corresponds to a dominion under a Viceroy.] The Nueste Nachriehten invites Turkey to invade Thessaly in order to solve the problem. The Turkish papers are giving credence to the accusations.
