GERMAN MINING DISASTER.
FATE OF 400 MEN DOUBTFUL. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received June 13, 0.25 a.m. Berlin, June 12. A violent shock was felt at Gelsenkirchen, apparently following the explosion in a shaft of the No. 3 consolidation mine. Four hundred men were working in the pit, and their fate is unknown. The Gelsenkirchen mineowners announce that no explosion took place, but that a gallery collapsed, injuring several. Two others are missing.
