BOTHA-FTTZPATRICK CONTEST. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Capetown, June io. The Bobha-Fitapatrick contest at Pretoria is causing a great controversy. Mr. Merriman declares that he will support Botha's Government. : CABINET SALARIES. Received June 12, 5.5 p.m. Pretoria, June 11. It is reported that General Botha's { salary will be £4OOO yearly, and that the salaries of the other Ministers will be £3OOO each. It is reported that General Botha will not avail himself of the late Mr. Cecil Rhodes' request to use "Groot Schur" (Rhodes' residence at Capetown) as the official residence.
