A tragedy is reported from Koetong, Mrs. Thompson, while suffering from dementia, took her three children for a walk, and on reaching a dam threew one child into the water after attaching a large stone to its dress. It, however, managed to get out. The mother then seized' another child V>f five, and held it under the water. . Hhe two others ran away, and when the returned with assistance the dead bodies of the mother and child were found.
