Counsel stated she financed a scheme for pearl-fishing in the Persian (iulf, but withdrew on finding that gun-running was included. Tramier's counsel replied that she was originally aware of the whole plan, and also contended that the introduction of arms into Muscat (which is. a free port) was not prohibited. Tramier had estimated the net .profit, at t;44,(K)0.
