'A return issued by the superintendent of export, shows that the meat exnrt trade during tftie closing season iincreased by nearly 30 iper cent, over iasi season.
This season 1,066,057 carcase sof lamb and mutton have already been exported, and about 34.000 carcases are still awaiting shipment. The increases are partly due to ;arly but unrealised prospects of drought, and partly to igood prices ruling in European markets.
