ENTERING THE PUBLISHING! BUSINESS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington. Yesterday. The Agricultural Department is entering the publishing business and in the course of this rr.oi.lii tik- lirst number of The Agricultural Journal is to be issued. It is the official publication of the Agricultural Department, edited by Mr. Bissett. the editor of agricultural publications, and will be issued monthly, with an annual charge to postal subscribers of half-a-crown, it,is to be well illustrated, and contain authoritative articles bv the Department's experts on subjects of interest to all classes on th« land. " r want to get it into every farmer's hands," explained the Minister to a Times representative to-day. "It will be crammed full of the mocfc Informative matter we can get. There are some of the subjects dealt with in the first number," and the Minister pointed to a lengthy article on the butter making industry, giving carefully compiled information relating to all phases of the work. '' Then the Journal's first number will also deal with the re-grassing question, for this is urgent, in view of the fact that some of ottr southern country is unfortunately going out of pasture. We will Also deal with soil analysis, describe the experiments nt our experimental farms, defining difficulties and the method of surmounting them, and describe the mode of cultivating the poorer soils of Xew Zealand. We shall go into trade questions, stock raising, and any matter which will -be of interest to the agriculturalists of, the country."
