Tamaki Steeplechase. —King Hippo, 10.2 (Julian), 1; Whatashot, 9.8 (Phillips), 2; Mozart, 10.5 (Cope), 3. Also started: Arty and Whataroa. _ Won by four lengths. T:me, 4.54. King Hippo was favorite. York Welter. - Master Soult, 12.1 (Gray), 1; E: etrol.-nff, 9.G (C. Brown), 2} Bollin, 9.9 (Julian), 3. Also started: Frisco, Ngapuka, Waiuiangu, Truganini, Pohutu, Eauparahn, Maharanui and Uenuku. Won bv r. neck. Time, 1.47. iNgapuka was favorite. Winter Steeplechase. —Loch Fyne, 11.6 (Speakman), -1; Red McGregor, >/Jl (Windsor), 2; Te Arai, 11.5 (Julian), 3.
