THE ADELAIDE CONFERENCE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyrigli Adelaide, June 8. The Methodist Conference adopted a resolution, expressing pleasure at .the friendly relations between the Methodists in the Friendly Islands and the Free Church of Tonga, and hoping that the day of reunion would soon come. A committee was appointed to take steps to bring about a reunion. The conference resolved against any alteration in the Coronation Oath, which would relax in any degree the safeguards ensuring the Protestant succession to the Throne, or permit the oath and declaration to be understood in any form than their obviously and ordinarily understood meaning.
