LORD PLUNKET.

lhaves by thbSydney boat. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The failure of the Maheno to make port until this morning, and the postponement of her sailing time till to-night at 10 o'clock, thoroughly disorganised all arrangements that ..had been made to give Lord Plunket a 'fitting farewell. There was no formal civic farewell, but the Mayor (Mr. Lemuel Joseph Bagnail) went to the steamer to bid him good-bye. As Lord Plunket left after sunset, there was no guard of honor; indeed no military Hlisplay of any kind. There were very few people to see the steamer off.
