THE WINTER SHOW.
Yesterday was an extremely busy day at the Drill Hall and Ivawau-street, a large staff of carpenters, engineers, and fitters "going at top"; electric light staff fixing motor-power and light for hall and marquees; gasmen fixing gas stoves, gas heaters, gas fires, etc.; engineers fixing oil engines, milking machines, etc.; decorators fixing the tradesmen's exhibit (which will be very fine); exhibitors fixing stands in their allotted space for showing their various wares; tentmakers erecting marquees for various kinds of produce, and a strong squad of committeemen working like Trojans, erecting tables and various fixings for the large display of home industries, produce, technical school and children's work; and it is quite clear that by 7 p.m. on Wednesday, when the show will be opened to the public, that the whole display will be a" credit to the district. FAhibits of pi'oduce will be received any time to-day and! up to 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
