"VTOTICE is hereby given tnat it is the intention of the Council of the Borough of New Plymouth to promote and endeavor to have passed law at the next ensuing Session of Parliament, a Bill, the short title whereof s "Th<; New Plymouth Racecourse Reser^; Leasing Act, l'JIO." The objects which the Bill is it ;ended to effect are:—

To vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of New Plymouth (hereinafter called "The Corporation") all the powers conferred upon a Leasing Authority under '"The Public Bodies' Leases Aft. IiIDS." with, respect to all that parcel of land in the Town of New Plymouth containing by admeasurement 12 acres i roods and 15 perches (more or less), bounded towards the North by Hendrie Street, towards the East by Allotment marked F on the plan of the Town Belt, towards the South by the last-mentioned Allotment and by Town Allotment numbered 1!)27. again towards the East by the last-mentioned Allotment, towards the South by Allotment marked E on the plan of the Town Belt, 41' gain towards the East by the last - mentioned Allotment, again towards the South by the said Allotment marked E, and towards the West by Eliot Street. To provide for the appropriation "of not le.ss than £2OO per annum out of the revenue derived from the leasing of the said land in aid of any Public Park. A copy of the Bill, together with a plan and survey of the land referred to, has been deposited in the Magistrate's Court at New Plymouth, and is open to public inspection.
