FORCER JUMPS OFF A TRAIN. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christclmrch, List Might. John Trembath, who at the criminal sittings of the Supreme Court just concluded was sentenced to eighteen months' imprisonment for forgery at Christchurch and to two years' imprisonment for horse-stealing at Ash-burton, was being brought from Timaru to Christchurch, by the first express from the south to-night, when he jumped oil' the train near ltakaia, and has not been seen since.
